Job Number: R Network Operations Engineer, Mid
Key Role: Monitor network administration and maintenance operations and manage the design evolution of existing operational networks and resolves network incidents to ensure the smooth running of the network operation. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide the activities of junior employees. Basic Qualifications: Experience as a system or network administrator using Active Directory Experience with developing and enhancing IT troubleshooting processes Experience with DoD IT security requirements, including installing patches Experience with monitoring solutions, including SolarWinds, Infoblox, Splu nk , or Cisco ISE Knowledge of common ports and protocols, and Layers 1-4 of the OSI model Ability to work a modified shift schedule, including occasional holidays and weekends TS/SCI clearance HS diploma or GED DoD 8570 Level II Security Certification, including Security+ Additional Qualifications: Experience with virtualization, including VMware and VDI Experience with task automation or system orchestration via PowerShell Experience with basic network administration, including switchport configuration, zone-based firewall policy management, DHCP support, and DNS management Experience with managing enterprise applications, including Micro sof t Exchange, Jira, Micro sof t SCCM or MECM, and Skype for Business Knowledge of vulnerability and STIG scanning tools, including Nessus, SCC Tool, ACAS, and Tanium Ability to extract and document user requirements Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
