Job description

Red Key is seeking a skilled Java Developer to serve as a Marklogic Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide Agile DevOps support for mission-critical systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop robust systems, software, and cloud environments while maintaining and enhancing critical systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Marklogic code and data within various technology initiatives, operating within a DevOps framework. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop solutions that integrate Marklogic with existing enterprise platforms and systems.
Develop XQuery, JavaScript, and REST modules on the Marklogic technology stack.
Develop entity models and utilize the Marklogic library to support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives.
Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Python, SpringBoot, and Hibernate.
Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods using JUnit and Katalon.
Create and integrate custom software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies.
Prototype, develop, and deploy solutions within commercial cloud environments leveraging infrastructure platform services.
Collaborate closely with team members, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and implementation of User Stories to customer use cases.
Conduct proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing to analyze and coordinate infrastructure needs driven by developed software.
Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices.
Utilize industry-leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Unix bash scripting.
Document and perform systems software development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments using GitFlow constructs.
Communicate key project data effectively to team members, fostering team cohesion and effectiveness.
Use Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities.
Apply and identify best practices and standard operating procedures.
Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers. Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of hands-on application development experience utilizing the Marklogic framework.
Strong analytical and design skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient technical designs.
Experience in the development of service-oriented architecture applications.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns.
Experience implementing the Marklogic Java-client-API within an enterprise application.
Strong knowledge of XQuery, FLWOR queries, JavaScript, Marklogic, SPARQL, RDF data, XML Data, triple-stores, and XML Processing.
Experience developing Marklogic Entity Models and building Marklogic data hubs.
Proficiency with Unix/Shell scripting.
In-depth experience with Java and data processing, manipulation, or querying (SQL or NoSQL).
Proficiency in common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and development practices.
Extensive experience in the software development lifecycle, particularly within DevOps toolsets and practices.
Experience with software testing performance tools, such as JUnit.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Experience with development in commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Experience with cloud data services (e.g., S3, RDS, EFS).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Educational and Experience Requirements:
Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, or Ph.D. with 13+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must hold an active TS/SCI with polygraph. Preferred Qualifications:
