Job description
Overview This position is contingent upon award of contract SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Lead Network Architect to support a federal customer with SME capabilities in the areas of network architecture and engineering activities. The Lead Network Architect shall lead network architecture and design efforts, assist the Government in developing business cases for new technologies and solutions, advise the Government on a network strategy to meet business objectives and requirements, and make recommendations to address complex architecture and engineering problems. Essential Job Duties Supports the PM on development of all network architecture and engineering initiatives, including developing and leading design of new network capabilities and architecture where network connectivity is lacking or non-existent. Ensures the day-to-day network operations and delivery, works with the ISSO to ensure network security. Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. Minimum Requirements Required Certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification.
Required Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience with a MA/MS degree or 12+ years of experience with a BA/BS including at least 8 years of supervisory experience leading teams of at least 40.
Required Education: MA/MS but BA/BS is acceptable in exchange for having 12+ years of experience.

Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., Information Technology, Networking and Telecommunications), or five (5) years of experience in a technical field with a bachelor's degree in another field, or (8) years of experience without a bachelor's degree.
Minimum of ten (10) years of current experience in network engineering and a deep understanding of network protocols and technologies. Experience with numerous network hardware, software systems, and technologies and demonstrate the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex network issues in a large organization.
Experience and expertise designing and implementing SDN/SD-WAN and Zero-Trust/ZTNA solutions in an enterprise environment.
Knowledge and experience implementing and managing Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Knowledge of networking and cloud technologies.
Experience managing program resources and budgets.
Ability to identify and mitigate program risks. Experience maintaining an environment fostering staff satisfaction and improving retention.
Experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to balance business requirements, performance, cost, and security concerns when architecting and designing solutions to meet customer requirements.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance. Preferred Qualifications CBP Full Background Investigation, Any DHS badge + DoD Top Secret or DoD Top Secret + willingness to get CBP clearance.
ITIL certification.
Cloud certifications.
CMMI knowledge and experience.
Knowledge of customer technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, F5, Infoblox, NetScout, Riverbed, Palo Alto, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, and Microsoft.
