Job description

The Swift Group is seeking an Expert Android Software Developer who will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing is essential to enhance team capabilities. A successful candidate will identify and address complex technical challenges, optimizing performance and resolving issues in a timely manner. Staying abreast of the latest Android trends, tools, and technologies, you will incorporate them into development practices to keep our applications at the forefront of the industry. This position is hybrid requiring 3 days onsite in Reston, VA. Required Qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience in Android development with a strong portfolio of released applications. Proficiency in Kotlin and Java. Expertise in Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools. Deep understanding of Android architecture components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData, Room). Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries. Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles and best practices. Familiarity with modern Android development practices, including Jetpack Compose and Coroutines. Proficiency in re-rooting a phone. Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor other engineers. Strong analytical skills with a focus on creating innovative solutions, including developing analytics through statistical analysis of collected data. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Must have an active Secret clearance or be eligible and willing to attain one. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced knowledge of Android NDK or custom views. Active contributions to open-source projects or a strong presence in the Android developer community. Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00 Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
