There is no challenge we can't turn into an opportunity Overview: Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system. Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information. Performs vulnerability and assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation. Manages changes to the system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification & Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs). Supports security authorization activities in compliance Risk Management Framework (RMF). Basic Qualifications: Experience with security tools, hardware or software security implementation, communication protocols, and Encryption techniques or tools
Experience with providing operational security guidance and information system validation using the National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework and local security policies for application infrastructure
Experience with supporting system security and authorization processes in accordance with NIST 800 series controls
Experience with Authority to Operate package development
Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities, Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities, or Master's degree and 1+ years of experience with conducting or supporting cyber engineering projects and activities
DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III Certification, including CASP+ CE, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support (IS) certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND within 30 days of hire
Optional Qualifications: Experience in Nessus Scanning
Experience in NMAP
Experience in Splunk, including Security Essentials
