About This Role: Serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) or Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) for the Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Program on behalf of the Modernization and Migration Management (M3) Program Management Office (PMO) by overseeing all aspects of security and ensuring compliance with Agency standards. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security policies, procedures, and controls and requires an understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, vulnerability remediation, system security engineering, and facilitating progress within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements
Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats
Oversee the security of information systems, ensuring compliance with NIST, FISMA, RMF, and other relevant frameworks
Facilitate the application through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Collaborate with system owners, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into the system development lifecycle
Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports (RARs), System Boundary Diagrams, Systems Architecture Diagrams, and other security documentation
Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure the effectiveness of security controls and compliance with established policies
Manage and deliver system accreditation packages and ensure the effectiveness of security controls through regular audits
Perform various ad hoc Project Management Office (PMO) related activities such as preparing, reviewing, updating, revising, and maintaining the project timeline, risk assessment, technical documents, deliverables, and other program-related documents at the direction of the contractor PM and GPM The "Need-to-Have" Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a Privilege User Account (PUA) by having or obtaining:
Qualifying DoD 8570 IAT or IASAE Level II or Level III Certification
Computing Environment Certificate (e.g. ACAS, AWS CCP, HBSS, Linux, Splunk, etc.) Professional Certifications:A DoD 8570 IAT II or Level III Certification or an IASAE Level II or Level III Certification:
CASP (ISSO/ISSE)
CISA (ISSO)
CISSP (ISSO/ISSE)
SEC+ (ISSO)
SSCP (ISSO)Education:Bachelor's Degree Clearance:Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Years of Professional Experience:3+ years in the ISSO/ISSE Field The "Nice-to-Have" Skills & Qualifications:
Previous ISSO or ISSE experience or the ability to perform the duties of the Program ISSO or ISSE
Experience progressing applications through the RMF process to achieve ATO
Familiarity with Cloud-based application deployments Professional Certifications:DoD 8570 Information Assurance Systems Architect and Engineer Level II Baseline Certification (ex: CASP+, CISSP, CSSLP) Physical Requirements
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone or video teleconferences
