Title: Computer Network Defense Location: Reston, VA; Washington, DC; Northern Virginia National Capital Region Clearance: TS/SCI w/CI Poly Travel Requirements: Must be willing to travel up to 30%, including local travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) of Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced TS/SCI cleared Senior Technical Reviewer for Computer Network Defense to join our team in Reston, VA. The Senior Technical Reviewer will provide expert technical support during inspections within the Intelligence Community Integrated Environment (IC IE). This role requires expertise in multiple technical areas, agility, and diligence in supporting efforts to secure and modernize the JWICS environment. This is an on-site role. Responsibilities: Policy Review: Conduct reviews based on IC policies including Insider Threat, Host Based Security (HBS), Vulnerability Management, Auditing, Public Key Infrastructure/Enabling (PKI/PKE), Classification Management Tool (CMT), Password Management, User Training, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Incident Response Planning and Reporting, and Physical/Traditional Security.
Coordinate with multiple organizations and reviewer staff.
Consolidate reports on an organization's enterprise and validate correct configurations.
Conduct interviews and complete checklists.
Provide input to written reports on compliance and associated risks.
Demonstrate advanced writing skills and coordinate multiple viewpoints into cohesive documents.
Exhibit attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Technical Assessment: Interact with leadership and site technical staff to facilitate scoping, data support for security controls assessment, and execution of operational inspection plans.
Interview organizational subject matter experts and conduct STIG, SRG, and IC policy checklists.
Collect data to review the Threat Informed Critical Controls List (TICCL), and provide input on security controls, potential vulnerability exploitation, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
Participate in planning, executing, and reporting on security audits and network vulnerability assessments with minimal supervision.
Assist in the preparation of assessment deliverables including Security Risk Assessments, compliance data, and STIG data.
Communicate the impact of vulnerabilities through presentations and written deliverables.
Plan, execute, and report on reviews to identify mission, privacy, security, compliance, IT, and regulatory risks.
Utilize extensive cybersecurity experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Manage project artifacts for selected projects, including project plans, scoping documents, status updates, and meeting agendas.
Lead relevant program and project team meetings in coordination with stakeholders.
Drive process improvements and technology solutions to enhance team productivity and effectiveness.
Review and recommend solutions to enhance team performance and ensure quality and consistency in project execution.
Oversee project development and execution from concept through implementation and conclusion.
Prepare and refine detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (an additional four years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).
Certification in DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity workforce, compliance with DoD Directive 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Management, and IAT Level III. Skills and Preferred Qualifications: Strong independent work ethic (auditor mentality) with exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance reporting activities.
Experience working in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment is highly desired.
Ability to develop vulnerability-based vignettes for cyber tabletop exercises.
Demonstrated ability to operate across departments to effectively implement cybersecurity principles.
Skilled in identifying network anomalies and applying cybersecurity and privacy principles.
Capable of multitasking with efficient time management and a comprehensive understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and network security methodologies.
