About the Opportunity:
As an Bid Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of end-to-end activities associated with RFx activities assigned to you. This role requires a combination of the ability to read and decipher RFx instructions for compliance and the ability to understand business problems expressed in the RFx and by the Field Team. You possess the writing and editing skills needed to develop a persuasive and compelling proposal that leads to customers' understanding of how the Ellucian solutions will solve their business problems.

This is an entry level role with room for advancement. The successful candidate will be driven to succeed, perceptive and self-motivated. Strong organization and communication skills are a must. This position works in fast-paced environment, managing assignment completion within the designated time frames, and in accordance with established procedures. As part of a dynamic team, you will work cross-functionally throughout Ellucian to manage the proposal process through the delivery of the proposal as defined by the RFx.

Where you will make an impact

Create assignment tracker to ensure response and assignment coverage on all areas of the RFP.

Coordinate touch point meetings throughout the RFx process to ensure on-time delivery of proposals.

Respond to general corporate and technical/security RFx questions.

Work with manager to ensure strict adherence to pre-defined due dates to include multiple reviews, editing and finalization of all proposal pieces.

Work with Sales and Solutions Consulting to define and document win strategy to create sound business models and value propositions to include in proposal development.

Work with Ellucian Field Team to accurately represent proposal win themes throughout the proposal sections.

Work with regional Account Executive to document sales messaging, write/edit executive summaries, assist with developing responses to strategic requirements to enhance delivered proposals, ensure pricing is complete and improve overall win rate throughout the bid process.

What you will bring

Coordination, leading, and project management experience.

Proven ability to understand client problems/challenges/goals.

Ability to quickly grasp high-level knowledge of Ellucian solutions and how they solve customer's problems.

The ability to plan, strategize and problem-solve as part of a team.

Maintain attention to detail while managing projects with multiple priorities through regular check-ins with RFX participants and Proposal Operations Manager.

Strong written and oral communications skill.

Strong, proven Microsoft Word and Excel skills (Styles, formatting).

Developed critical thinking skills for appropriate decision making.

Higher Education industry knowledge a plus

Experience with RFx content and proposal management tool a plus

Fully proficient in MS Office Suite

Experience with Zoom

Working knowledge of Salesforce

Experience with Smartsheet and Highspot a plus
