Job description
Amentum is seeking highly motivated, self-starting Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-SCI clearance. Responsibilities: Provide mid-level analytic expertise to the DCSA OSINT Analysis review submitted packages to ensure they meet basic submission requirements and provide direction and support to customers who must remedy package errors or have status questions. In addition, they produce RIRs through conducting all-source research from information available from public, private, and U.S. and foreign Government open-source materials and evaluating those facts against established DCSA risk indicators. Assesses foreign and domestic-based publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address defense intelligence requirements. IS Entity Vetting (EV) consists of three mission areas including Verification and Triage Unit (VTU), Due Diligence Unit (DDU), and Risk Management Unit (RMU). EV is responsible for producing timely, relevant, and actionable triage, business and security-centric due diligence research, reporting, analysis, and risk management products, recommendations, and decisions throughout to evaluate risk and FOCI, to negotiate and sustain risk management strategies and FOCI action plans, and to provide end-to-end management support of the processes. CI performs an essential function for the related processes above through its Threat Integration Branch (TIB), which provides timely, relevant, and actionable threat reports that allow EV decision-makers to determine what actions are prudent in a particular case. Conduct analytical research that establishes threat to U.S. technologies, information, and supply chains impacting cleared industry, cleared personnel, DOD, and DCSA Responsible for processing, updating, and tracking cases, actions, products, and reviews in the identified system of record and other databases. Research, synthesize, exploit, evaluate, and analyze all-source reporting on USG critical technologies, programs, information, and supply chains. Conduct all-source, business, security, and intelligence-related research and analysis, including, but not limited to commercial subscription tools (e.g. Bloomberg), open-source research, Government databases, and intelligence reporting aimed at U.S. and foreign companies and affiliated parties (key management personnel, suppliers, partners, creditors, owners, investors, and other U.S. and foreign affiliations) while producing Threat Information Reports (TIRs). Develop analytical products that effectively articulate threats. Demonstrate analytic integrity, rigor, and tradecraft standards by adhering to applicable IC Directives and DoD Instructions. Produce analytic products within established time. Disseminate intelligence information to customers and stakeholders. Some locations may require local travel local travel within the U.S. Working with teams and independently required. Requirements: Active TS-SCI Clearance required Desired Experience: At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Desired Education: Bachelor's degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Minimum 8 years' experience in Applying data analysis, trend analysis and problem-solving techniques. Ability to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and recommend solutions. Ability and skill in communicating intelligence information verbally and in writing. Conducting strategic communications with key stakeholders, including preparing written reports, leading conferences, and giving briefings. Conducting research effectively and efficiently at classified and unclassified levels (i.e. SharePoint, Microsoft Office Tools, etc.) Be knowledgeable of data manipulation within databases and Microsoft software packages. Superior oral and written communication skills, as well as a good command of the English language. High proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Organizational skills May be required to lift general office items (20-30lbs) Expected in office work five days a week with occasional telework that is dependent on the government's needs. U.S. driver's license and be capable of operating government vehicles. Preferred: DCSA and DoD work experience Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
This is an in-office position, with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 20-30 lbs., constant sitting while using a computer, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities to communicate, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
