Job description

Data Architect JANUS Research Group is seeking a Data Architect to design a system's data models, data flow, interfaces, and infrastructure to meet the information requirements of a business or mission. Develop and implement overall organization data strategy that is in line with business processes and objectives. Identify data sources, both internal and external, and work out a plan for data management that is aligned with the data strategy. Monitor and optimize the data infrastructure. Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming. Prepare database design and architecture reports. Advise higher level leadership on critical data management issues. Consult with customers and key stakeholders to evaluate functional requirements for Artificial Intelligence and data applications. Collaborate with appropriate personnel to address classified data requirements and configure technical solutions to provide data integrity and security. Provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures. Evaluate data storage requirements, prepare, and implement data backup, recovery and secondary data storage and disaster recovery. Plan and manage effective storage capacity strategies. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, system owners, etc to design applications for data management. Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements. Qualifications: Recommend bachelor's degree in data management or information technology. Requires DoD cyber certification as an IAT level II. Experience aligned to DoD Cybersecurity Workforce code 653 (data architect). Location: Quantico, Building 2076/2084 gov facility Clearance: At start must be Secret with TS/SCI eligibility for indoc and access to SCInet.
