Job description
Active DOD Security Clearance Required The Prospective Group, TPG is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) to provide comprehensive support to the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) in defining, maintaining, and updating the Agency's enterprise architecture, with a focus on ensuring alignment with federal and DoD standards. The EA will directly support the Chief Information Officer's Chief Enterprise Architect. The EA will utilize enterprise architecture tools to catalog and manage documentation, conduct gap analyses, and offer strategic recommendations for migrating workloads to the cloud. This role also includes providing expertise in performance measurement, governance, and data-driven decision-making processes, as well as developing technical documentation and supporting program management and governance activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF). Position Responsibilities:
1. Enterprise Architecture Documentation and Future Architecture Roadmap:
• Utilize modern enterprise architecture tools (e.g., EA Sparks or cameo/magic draw/no magic) to accurately capture and catalog IT architecture documents and ensure documentation is up-to-date and comprehensive.
• Oversee the process to ensure documents are captured and cataloged accurately.
• Build modeling and simulation components using the Enterprise Architecture Sparx (or other required) to support OCIO in creating a "to-be" architecture for DCSA, ensuring the Agency's long-term IT strategy is scalable and future-proof.
• Create the documentation and processes to ensure that OCIO and DCSA comply with all Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise architecture guidelines and regulations and in line with the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and other applicable governance standards.
• Provide expert advice and develop the architecture roadmap to support the migration of workloads and applications to cloud-based solutions. 2. Technical Documentation, Performance Dashboards, and Visualizations:
• Develop and refine technical documentation to support process improvement initiatives, including functional descriptions, IT system specifications, user manuals, reports, briefings, brochures, and other custom deliverables.
• Write and edit materials for a variety of formats, including reports, briefings, presentations, and meeting minutes, ensuring clarity and consistency across all documentation.
• Offer expert guidance and recommendations for the development, implementation, and sustainment of performance dashboards, visualizations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and common operational pictures (COPs) to enhance operational oversight and data transparency across agency elements. 3. Governance and Program Management Support:
• Assist with OCIO governance activities, including supporting Program Management Reviews (PMRs), DCSA governance boards, and working groups.
• Facilitate strategic discussions, provide input to governance documents, and ensure that all governance actions are well-documented and effectively communicated.
• Monitor adherence to governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and best practices in enterprise architecture.
• Provide a weekly activities report (WAR) and monthly status report (MSR) to the contract PM and participate in one or two contract-level meetings per month. Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) certified (meaning FEAC certification).
• 8570 Certified, either with a CompTIA Security Plus or something similar. Individual may have to administer things that are cyber-related at times.
• Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and DoDAF Meta Model (DM2).
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Tools, tools (e.g., EA Sparks or cameo/magic draw/no magic). Preferred Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related major.
• Experience working with DoD or other federal agencies, particularly in enterprise architecture and cloud migration efforts.
• Familiarity with performance measurement, dashboard development, and business intelligence tools.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and tools, with experience in cloud migration and IT system integration.
• Deep understanding of Digital Engineering principles.
• Proficiency in modeling and simulation techniques for enterprise architecture planning.
• Familiarization with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), this is a possible successor to DoDAF.
