BUYER ASSOCIATE IN NEWPORT NEWS, VA

Volt is immediately hiring a Buyer Associate in Newport News, VA.

As a Buyer Associate, you will be:

• Contacting vendors, placing orders, verifying supplies, managing supply requisition and communicating with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.
• Assisting Buyer with placement, adjustments, and cancellations of purchase orders.
• Working with Fulfillment to flow the product through Ferguson warehouses by using the optimal replenishment settings without impacting customer service.
• Monitoring rebalancing of assigned inventory to ensure excess inventory is optimized.
• Analyzing, report, and act on replenishment planning KPIs (Instocks, Fill Rate, Days of Inventory, Inefficient Inventory) on a regular cadence.

This is a Full-time, contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Accountable for decisions, actions and results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Advanced skills in Excel (pivots, lookups) - preferred.
• Experience working in supply chain planning software a plus.

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18 per hour.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
