The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure that all project milestones and goals are met on time and within budget. HOW A PROJECT/TASK MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned project. Supervises at least 15 employees • Plan and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables. • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. • Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress. • Ensure resource availability and allocation. • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. • Report and escalate issues to management as needed. • Perform risk management to minimize project risks. • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience.
• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI • Location: On Customer Site
• US Citizenship Required Required Skills and Abilities • Proven working experience as a Project Manager or equivalent role. • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies. • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus. Preferred Skills • Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Service Now). • Proven experience in leading teams in a fast-paced environment. GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
