What You Will Do:

We seek candidates with extensive knowledge of and hands on experience with designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure software quality and efficiency in the development lifecycle. The QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for advising on efficient performance testing strategies, implementing the test framework, elaborating test plans based on the business needs and customer requirements, and checking the work of junior and mid-level specialists.

This position requires the individual to:

  • Design and develop automation scripts to validate the functionality, accuracy, and efficiency of software products.
  • Integrate automation testing protocols with existing code and engineering processes.
  • Analyze problems, diagnosing root causes, and resolving defects.
  • Work closely with development teams to create automation strategies and deployment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Report results and feedback to software development teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation for automated processes, test results, and troubleshooting guides
What You Will Need:
  • Minimum THREE (3) years working on Agile Software Projects that used Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies. DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester certification within 6 months after contract award.
  • Experience implementing test tools to support test automation, performance testing, and code coverage; i.e. Selenium and SonarQube.
  • Experience meeting with the software design team to discuss verification protocols.
  • Experience identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
  • Experience sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.
  • Experience reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
  • Experience writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
  • Experience designing and installing software databases.
  • Experience troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
  • Experience identifying quality issues and creating test reports.
  • Experience collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.
