Your key responsibilities We'll look to you to interact directly with the customer, stakeholders, and subject matter resources to coordinate, validate and socialize in one or more areas of technology transformation. Your responsibilities will also include to manage, assess, and implement changes to the related deliverables. You can expect to help our clients with technology-enabled transformation to achieve their business objectives. In return, you can expect to learn leading practices in technology transformation and delivery and be exposed to a wide variety of business issues solved using technology. We're also looking for you to act as a role model for EY's core values and maintain and expand client relationships through the delivery of high-quality work. This project provides a broad range of IT-related project management support for enterprise level systems and applications. As an IT Project Manager, you will support client IT projects with the following
Facilitate the planning, organizing, scheduling, and coordination of work to be accomplished by the project team, including breaking work down into discrete tasks, estimating task resource requirements, working with task owners to determine task schedule and dependencies, and incorporating this information into a project schedule
Support project management and oversight, including:
Implementing program and project management practices, processes, and procedures
Assisting with project governance, including assessing scope, allocating resources, and verifying time, budget, risk/issue and impact assumptions before projects are undertaken and throughout project execution
Reporting on project activities, risks, issues, scope, and progress to executive management, and keeping project teams and decision makers moving toward consistent, business and/or mission focused goals and objectives
Define and sequence projects that incrementally deliver program capabilities while managing overall implementation risk
Organize and support reviews and planning of scrum related activities
Provide support for the coordination, preparation, and reporting of project statuses on a routine basis
Develop and implement summary project report structures and project success metrics
Prepare for and lead/participate in project gate reviews and project governance processes
Provide advice to business unit project managers on the use of recommended project management processes, tools, and methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
Leverage Agile methodology expertise in providing project management support across matrixed, dispersed project teams
Provide consultation in the implementation of best practices for troubled projects/programs with respect to root cause and corrective actions, risk planning and prevention mechanisms
Facilitate and document "Lessons Learned" sessions for projects
Mentor and train project teams on PM best practices and assist in implementing PM process
changes prior to and during project execution
Discuss project management standards and industry best practices
Collaborate to incorporate lessons learned into projects as applicable
Engage in other training opportunities as applicableSkills and attributes for Success
Strong leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
Stakeholder management, data modeling and knowledge of IT
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and other business processes to form ideas and fix problems
Ability to communicate ideas in an expressive way that is easy for the receiver to understand
Experience coming up with solutions to an organization's problems
Ability to research new processes and software to present results that are effective
Ability to establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships
Ability to create innovative insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership
Anticipate and identify risks, and escalate any issues as appropriate
Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff; help create a positive learning culture
Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staffTo qualify for the role you must have
A Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 8+ years of experience specific to delivering IT projects
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance or higher, which will be driven by the engagement requirementsDue to the nature of our work in the Government and Public Sector, work may be required to be completed at client, EY and/or contractor sites. Our goal is to assign professionals to projects within a commutable distance of their work location office. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs. Candidates should be willing to travel on average 25% to 30% or more in a hybrid environment. Ideally, you'll also have
Secret Clearance or higher

What we offer We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
