RDA, LLC is a boutique national security consultancy with worldwide operations. We provide specialized solutions to agencies of the US Intelligence Community, military Special Operations Forces, and other national security partners. Our Advisory practice executes customers' intelligence and advanced research missions globally, while our Training practice delivers cutting edge tradecraft training to select organizations. Job Purpose: The Desk Officer works onsite for a US Government client and supports that client's worldwide operations on specific issues or geographies. Key Duties & Responsibilities
Support a wide range of operational and programmatic activities to manage operations in specific geographic areas, or against specific issues
Manage and track ongoing program progress; staff appropriate approvals; conduct substantive briefings; communicate client guidance to global resources
Conduct detailed analysis using government databases and writing standards
Draft formal correspondence per government client standards
All other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Experience:
Level 1: One (1) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experience
Level 2: Three (3) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experience
Level 3: Seven (7) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experience
Level 4: Twelve (12) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experience
Level 5: Twenty (20) or more years of demonstrated relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university
Direct experience related to intelligence research and desk officer work. Prior experience in supporting HUMINT operations or familiarity with the Intelligence Community and its objectives.
Experience in client-specific global National Security issues, including formal training, certification, and global work experience
Current US Government TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph
Willingness to work on-site in the Washington, DC area Preferred Skills/Experience:
Advanced skills in common desktop applications, internet, and social media use
This is a customer-facing position representing FRDA to client employees. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
Highly motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to spot new opportunities and spearhead new initiatives
A friendly and collaborative attitude; ability to work well independently and in groups with minimal supervision; ability to navigate ambiguity, embrace client oversight at all levels, and balance competing demands
Technical savvy is a must. Ability to use FRDA and client IT systems is required. Additional, client-specific required qualifications will be discussed with appropriate candidates.
