Job description

Overview:

The Lead Behavior Technician is responsible for demonstration, explanation, and support of in-home and in-clinic Applied Behavior Analysis Programs through effective instructional procedures and provision of program maintenance supports.

Responsibilities:
In-Field Support

Provide model direct instruction for clients

Provide support, modeling, and guidance for new and existing BT's under guidance of Clinical Supervisor/Program Director

Provide group support/instruction under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor/Program Director

Be aware of client's behavior intervention plan (BIP) components and provide assistance as needed in implementation

Provide coverage when necessary for clinic, in-home, and community-based clients

Assist with client programing; analyzing data to identify issues for supervisor

Provide other support to BCBAs as requested

Off-Site Support

Inform Clinical Supervisors/Program Director regarding training need

Support Clinical Supervisors/Program Director in completing classroom administrative tasks (e.g. LEARN books, goal sheet preparation, schedule updates, behavior graphing, etc.)

Assist with materials preparation for group activities or individual clients if necessary, as outlined by Clinical Supervisors/Program Director

Training/Meetings

Obtain and maintain current First Aid/CPR/SafetyCare Certification

The Lead Technicians will be required to meet with Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Director for training/coaching on the following topics

Practice advice and coaching

Parent education

Programming

Professionalism

How to support weak BT's

Productivity Expectations

Provide Field Supervision/Direct Intervention with the expectation of visiting clients at least 3-5 times per week, but maybe more, across morning, afternoon, and evening sessions

All Lead Technician hours will be paid at the direct rate

Qualifications:
Strong detail orientation

Strong time management skills and follow-through

Organized and diplomatic

Ability to work independently or within a larger team

Demonstrate positive work ethic by actively seeking supportive tasks and offering suggestions for program improvement

Demonstrate professionalism when working with other staff members and parents

Lead BT's to maintaining a positive outlook and seeking answers to questions or concerns in a professional manner

Must have the ability to work independently.

To use initiative in taking the first steps or act without being urged to complete projects and/or work.

Problem solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

Planning/organizing-the individual is detail oriented, prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.

Multi-tasking - the individual is able to work on multiple projects at one time.

Quality control-the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance.

To have the ability and flexibility to work effectively in an organization environment that is rapidly growing and changing.

Must attend all mandatory training(s).

Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

Dependability-the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Safety and security-the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.

Work Hours and Travel Requirements

Expected to be available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 8:00p.m., Monday-Friday and on occasional weekends

Regular travel to clients' homes, Trellis clinic, and/or community settings within the region is required for this position

Education/Experience

1 year ABA and autism experience required

Strong preference for BIs with a Bachelor's degree

Selection of Lead Technician will be made by the Clinical Director/Program Director
