Seeking experienced professional to oversee the Commercial Surety department and staff, including strategy development and implementation. Activities: Proactively manage book of business including monitoring loss activity and trends in the market segment. Assure that policy accounts are underwritten according to market segment strategies and guidelines. Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to develop market segment strategy. Develop and implement long and short term territorial plans to achieve budget objectives. Anticipate resource needs and allocate financial and human resources in support of strategy. Develop and maintain agent, broker and client relationships to support implementation of strategy. Identify and capture new business opportunities and effectively cross sell Bond market segment and other products. Attract and retain highly skilled people. Set high standards of performance, evaluate performance effectively, provide timely candid feedback, and make compensation decisions.
