Overview:
The Engineering department of has a career growth opportunity for a Junior level Engineering Technician at our Lancasterm PA location. Our Design Engineering team consists of 150+ design engineers across 5 sites throughout the Eastern United States. We are growing quickly and would like you to be a part of that growth.

The Engineering Technician, under the supervision of an engineer or senior technician, will provide technical support on engineering projects relating to design, test, repair, fabrication, assembly, production, installation and test of electronic hardware and systems.

Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides technical support on engineering projects as required by engineers or senior technicians.

Performs assembly and fabrication of assemblies as directed by engineers or senior technicians.

Makes test on hardware, systems and subsystems using standard and special test apparatus; read/utilizes schematics, wiring diagrams, test manuals, test procedures, and performance specifications to perform test.

Collects test data in accordance with test specifications.

Constructs prototype models from engineering diagrams and schematics.

Prepares test procedures, schematics, parts lists and bills of material, as required by the engineer.

Assist on proposals with pricing or estimating test hours.

Works closely with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance personnel.

Maintains/demonstrates proper use and care of assigned tools and equipment.

Travels to field locations to assist in installation and test of equipment and systems.

Performs additional technician's tasks, as assigned.

Maintains and improves technical skills through formal courses study of technical literature and attendance at technical symposiums.

Qualifications:
HOW TO SUCCEED

You combine a solid theoretical, practical background in RF/Microwave and electrical theory with creative and critical thinking. To join us you'll need: Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or GED.

Two (2) years of hands-on experience in electronics and electrical troubleshooting required.

Up to 25% travel required

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Test Systems or Test Sets desired

Associate Degree and a minimum of three years hands-on electronic technician experience.

Technical school training in electronics

Active security clearance

Defense background

Salary Range: Engineering Technician II: $24.13 - $35.00 hourly. Engineering Technician III: $27.50 - $39.90 hourly. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
