Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trainer to join our team to train , educate, grow, and develop the internal program and customer team s , and improve individual and group performance on large - scale Department of Defense programs . As t he Train er you will evaluate current and future training needs and practices , develop a nd deliver training plans , and repo r t the results and make recommendations for improveme n t . You will also administer the "train the t rainer " program to expand the customer's internal training team and enable the customer to deploy training internally . This position requires 25% on-site time in King George VA and travel in the Maryland, Virginia, and DC area. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or related field or applicable work experience - Secret security clearance (include clearance on resume) - Certification from talent and training associations - Six years of experience as a Training Manager , preferably in the government sector - Track record in designing and executing successful training programs - Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms - T rain the trainer experi en ce - e xperience in teaching colleagues on how to t rain others - Excellent communication and leadership skills Desired Certifications: - Certified Professional in Training Management - Human Resources Management - Instructional Design Certificate - Associate Professional in Talent Development/Management Responsibilities: - Manage the training and educational programs for the Internal Program Team a nd for the Department of Defense customer o rganization - Conduct surveys and interviews to identify training needs, and create training strategies, initiatives, and material to meet needs - Analyze , identify , and administer the most effective training medium and methods for specific ind ividuals , groups , a n d topics - S tay abreast of evolving training method ologies - Evaluate the appropriateness of contracting third party vendors to deliver training and coordinate with third party vendors w hen utilized - Coordinate, monitor, and report enrollment - Analyze training program effectiveness and submit reports and recommendations to Program leaders - Administer and report on the train the trainer program As a Train er , y ou will play a key role in administering the training program to improv e individual and group performance in large-scale Department of Defense programs . You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment, interacting with various internal and external stakeholders .
