Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transition Manager to lead our transition and new account start-up activities for federal agency clients. This role requires a deep understanding of program management, transition processes, and federal agencies' unique needs and compliance requirements. As a Transition Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex transitions and account start-up activities, ensuring seamless implementation, fostering strong client relationships, and supporting oral presentations to the government as part of a proposal response team. Ability to travel extensively, particularly during transition or start-up activities, ensuring on-site presence and support. While this position can be remote, it will require extensive travel (CONUS and OCONUS) depending on program requirements at the time. Candidates located in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and DC are preferred. Responsibilities: Program Leadership: Lead and manage technology transition projects for federal clients, ensuring that they are executed efficiently and within scope, timeline, and budget constraints with a focus on Operational Readiness and Risk Management.
Client Collaboration: Collaborate with client stakeholders, including IT leadership and end users, to thoroughly understand their business needs, goals, and technical requirements.
Transition Planning: Develop comprehensive transition plans that include project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, security, and support, to ensure seamless execution of technology transitions.
Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of existing technology environments to identify potential challenges and opportunities for optimization during the transition.
Documentation: Define and document transition processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient technology transitions.
Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure that the transition aligns with industry standards and security protocols.
Communication: Manage communication between internal teams and federal clients, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
Knowledge Transfer: Ensure the successful transfer of knowledge from incumbent contractors to support teams and end users, enabling smooth post-transition operations.
Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and federal regulations to continuously enhance transition strategies.Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, to include 4 years of program management experience, demonstrating a proven track record in managing complex projects and initiatives.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in leading large scale federal program transitions or start-ups following contract awards, including relevant transition experience within the last 2 years.
Ability to provide on-site support during critical phases of the transition, demonstrating hands-on leadership and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with customers, technical subject matter experts, program managers, proposal managers, and business development teams to determine customer requirements in complex and often ambiguous environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
Strong technical aptitude and business acumen
Current/Active Secret Security Clearance
Additional Desired Qualifications 7 or more years of experience supporting federal agencies, with a deep understanding of their unique needs, processes, and compliance requirements.
Experience developing solutions in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP) and Orals presentation experience.
TS/SCI (current or eligible)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Target Salary Range $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
