We are looking for a driven candidate, who is passionate about the security of our country. This candidate will support the Cyber Forensics team as a Computer Forensics Specialist. The Computer Forensics Specialist will provide expertise in computer forensics, mobile device forensics, data and media recovery, reverse engineering, intrusion analysis and methodologies, and vulnerability assessments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conduct imaging of a variety of devices (i.e. - HDDs, mobile devices, etc.) Conduct forensic examinations to identify the root cause of cyber incidents Responsible for assessing and filling forensic gaps Interact with and establish relationships with customers Provide technical reporting in order to explain complex forensic examinations to a wide audience Perform risk analysis of software and provide mitigations for any identified risks Perform data recovery to maximize the amount of useable data Identify IOCs, TTPs and recommend appropriate counter measures Provide recommended remediation steps in the aftermath of a cyber incident Bachelors Degree or 3 or more years of related experience Strong organizational, communications, and critical-thinking skills Knowledge of concepts and practices of processing digital forensics data Skill in preserving evidence integrity according to industry best practices Skill in using forensic tools (i.e. - Xways, Axiom, FTK, Autopsy, Zimmerman tools, etc.) Skill in conducting forensics analysis of multiple operating systems (i.e. - Windows, Linux/Unix, Android, MAC, iOS, etc.) Knowledge of data carving tools/techniques Skill in analyzing volatile data Experience in acquiring volatile data The ability to develop forensic tools in Python, C#, C++ or C Experience with analyzing malicious data Experience with analyzing software to identify risks/vulnerabilities
