Job description

As Director Technology, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the development and implementation of our technology roadmaps. You'll collaborate with leaders and peers to develop business strategies, engage with customers and business partners to align roadmaps and develop relationships to foster collaborations that will enable profitable growth. You'll lead an exceptional team to deliver new product development goals, optimize, implement, and execute technology roadmaps for speedy and smooth product development and commercialization and provide technical support to win new business. The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Must Haves: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study
10+ years of relevant technical software engineering experience
Relevant experience may substitute for required education
Advanced practical technical understanding of Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Science with experiencing applying disciplines against large datasets and complex analytical challenges
Advanced knowledge of US Intelligence Community and/or Department of Defense programs and acquisition procedures with a particular focus in civilian and military intelligence and special operations
Ability to understand customer requirements and operational concepts while interpreting, translating, and explaining detailed technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
Advanced knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: Business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification
Working knowledge and experience with various technical matters in support of the exportability, technical determination and release of products and services
Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies
Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences
Extensive experience developing technology and IRaD (Research and Development) roadmaps, and seeing them through to completion
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Typically 15+ years of relevant experience
Master's degree or higher in an Engineering or similar field of study
Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies Previous management experience; ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee staffing development and maintenance Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose
Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, emphasizing rapid fielding of capabilities, with minimal supervision
Ability to work across disciplines including programs and business development support
Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
