Job description
Requires US Citizenship Employment Term and Type: Regular, Full Time Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI Required Education: High School or Equivalent Job Description : Manage and support LAN and VPN services, including the deployment, management, administration, testing, and troubleshooting of Air Force DCGS Experimental enclave (DGS-X) LANs, at DGS-X, Langley AFB, VA. Non-daytime, holiday, weekend shiftwork required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Perform LAN installation and coordination remotely Manage LAN bandwidth, and perform troubleshooting (e.g., performance, problem, change, capacity monitoring) Maintain and provision all data network components and ensure that all network administration activities are coordinated through the change management process Manage all LAN devices and maintain all LAN components in accordance with OEM maintenance agreements and warranties. Ensure that all new connections, devices, and SW provisioned are included in the AF DCGS asset management system. Provide Capacity Documentation including planning and developing capacity resource projection and performance reports and recommend data network capacity thresholds Required Qualifications: Four years' experience with network administration and infrastructure Four years' experience maintaining Network Time Protocol (NTP), local Access Control Lists (ACLs), and Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) configurations Two years VMware experience DoD 8570 certified, IAT Level II Communicate effectively orally and in writing Project strong customer focus Physical Requirements: Sitting 50% Standing 50%, Climbing 10%, Crawling on hands and knees 10%, Walking 80%, Lifting up to 70lbs 80%, Pulling/Pushing up to 50lbs 80%, Carrying up to 25lbs 75%, Grasping 100%, Stooping or Crouching 75%, Reaching 80%, Near Acuity and Color Determination 100%, Speaking with customers 100%, Listening 100%, Sight 100%, Use of Hands/Fingers 100% This position description is not intended as, nor should it be construed as, exhaustive of all responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with this job.
