Our client are a reputable, family-owned General Contractor based in Fredericksburg, who are looking to hire an experienced Superintendent.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established, family-owned general contractor located in Virginia. With over 50 years of experience, they serve a diverse clientele, including the medical, finance, retail, multifamily, and municipal sectors, across the Greater Richmond and Central Virginia regions. Their projects generally range from $2M to $10M+ in value. They are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team for several upcoming projects in the Fredericksburg area.

Description

  • Attending weekly subcontractor and owner/architect meetings.
  • Supervising daily construction activities and ensuring quality control of all subcontractors.
  • Monitoring site safety protocols.
  • Assisting with quality control oversight.
  • Assisting with field office document control.
  • Assisting in creating look-ahead schedules.
  • Coordinating field efforts between trades to achieve timely and profitable completion in strict accordance with contract documents, specifications, laws, and safety requirements.
  • Effectively communicating relevant project information to superiors.
  • Tracking manpower and completing daily reports.
  • Monitoring and tracking site deliveries.
  • Partnering with the Project Manager to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects changes in project status and meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
  • Verifying that all materials, equipment, and installations comply with approved submittals and contract documents

Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from inception to completion
  • Experience handling projects valued between $2M and $10M
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar project management software
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
