Job description

Duties As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Delivers programs and services to the directed capability level to enable readiness. Improves acquisition management and fiscal stewardship. Leads integration of Base Operations (BASOPS) programs and services across IMCOM Training Garrisons. Provides a full range of staff support to enable garrison maintenance activities to be successful and ensures all tactical equipment maintenance programs support mission requirements Assesses and evaluates current and potential IMCOM Directorate-wide logistics management and sustainment issues and develops mitigation strategies that can be short, intermediate, or long range. Researches and reports on significant logistics topics for oversight and guidance by senior civilian and military leadership. Serves on logistical study teams as a project lead or member. Provides advice and assistance to garrisons on logistics and resolution of problems that achieve the most effective materiel and readiness posture. Prepares and coordinates IMCOM Training position on logistics sustainment and readiness operations for presentation to Headquarters and other major Army Command staff. Provides management oversight of maintenance operational budget (Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) planning), tactical maintenance budget, Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO), reimbursable/non reimbursable support agreements, and maintenance report tracking functions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. Business travel required 25% of the time. Qualifications The Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Directorate - Training (ID-T) is responsible for the Mission Command and leadership of 17 US Army Garrison commands and Support Activities that deliver and integrate Base Support services on Army installations to enable Army readiness. ID-T is aligned with the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the U.S. Military Academy, and the U.S. Army War College and is physically located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, thereby, better enabling close collaboration with HQ TRADOC.
