Amyx, Inc. is seeking to hire a VDI Systems Administrator to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). As VDI Admin you will ;
Improve VDI architecture through enhancements by incorporating new data feeds and products. Determine data storage policies and impacts on VDI architecture. Prepare training materials to assist with transition to VDI. Provide Tier 3 end user support for complex incidents. Troubleshoot VDI connection issues and application functionality. Perform on-site system upgrades. Executes test procedures to assess systems performance, identify and troubleshoot difficult or unusual problems, and analyze results for the implementation of system upgrades. Must be capable of assuming a technical leadership or supervisory role in the Citrix area and assist others as required. Monitors server resource allocation/utilization and performs capacity planning. Maintains expertise with, and advises management on, current technologies. Prepares technical performance and utilization reports as required for executive management. Performs Desktop Virtualization. Maintains knowledge and experience with Citrix, VMWare, and HP Blade technology. Has a thorough understanding of virtual desktop technology, VMWare, COTS, GOTS, and Active Directories (AD). Responsibilities Position Overview: DLA requires support to facilitate the J6, Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), Technology Foundation Services, Enterprise IT Architecture (EIA) Division mission. This mission consists of support for the design, implementation, administration, and sustainment of Enterprise Active
Directory (AD), messaging and instant messaging capabilities, server-based computing capabilities (Citrix/Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), mobile device infrastructure (iOS/iPhone) and industrial mobile device support, centralized end-point administration, automated software
delivery, vulnerability and audit preparedness and Enterprise monitoring and alerting capabilities. The Enterprise IT Architecture Division develops and sustains Enterprise-wide capabilities and provides management, administration and oversight of infrastructure, applications and remote capabilities in support of the DLA and the J6 mission. As an admin, you will help manage network performance and maintains security related to VDI. DOD Agency Experience Required Skills and Qualifications: Seven (7) years' progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, four of which are concentrated, hands on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software. IT-1 or Secret IAT II, example: Security + CE or higher
