Job description
The C-12 King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic AM-3 (FAA A&P). Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/ King Air aircraft. FAA A&P certificate Required. Union CBA C-12/ King Air site; with one assigned aircraft. Must be a qualified FAA A&P mechanic with extensive C-12/King Air experience, per the Union CBA. AM-3 Mechanic may be assigned the Lead mechanic duties. AM-3 Requirements - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P aircraft mechanic experience, With Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12/ King Air aircraft experience. Required under Union CBA). Ability to obtain/maintain a US Govt Secret Clearance is required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain Secret Clearance. Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751. Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract. Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software. Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary. Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent is required. Valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required. AM-3 Requirements - Ten (10) years of FAA A&P mechanic experience, and Thirteen (13) years of specific C-12/ King Air aircraft experience is required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance is required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility access. Valid Driver's License required. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and via computer, able to communicate professionally with US Govt/Military customer. Will report to Regional Manager, and program Director, may be assigned as a Lead mechanic, with additional lead duties (If assigned as Lead additional compensation will be provided). Mechanic Tools and Toolbox are Required, tools must be shadowed and etched with mechanic PID. Schedule - Forty (40) Hours a week, Mon-Fri., Site currently has one assigned shift. Preferred Qualifications Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable. Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude. Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
