Job description

JOB SUMMARY
The CSD (Cyber Support Detachment) Information Assurance Analyst (computer scientist) will support 1st IO Command at Fort Belvoir, VA. The Cyber Support Detachment provides enhanced readiness capabilities through the development and management of mission platforms, operation and maintenance of dynamic training environments, management of tool and system type accreditations, and the forecasting and management of emerging requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES Software Management:
• Manage and oversee software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
• Update and maintain software images to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and remediate software applications to optimize performance and functionality.
• Monitor and report on software application performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. Backup and Recovery:
• Develop, implement, and regularly update backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data and ensure quick recovery in case of system failures. Compliance and Security:
• Maintain Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance as required, ensuring that all systems meet security standards.
• Operate and maintain vSphere applications, ensuring virtual environments are secure and functioning optimally. System Administration:
• Manage Active Directory (AD) Domain for Windows systems, servers, and Linux systems, ensuring seamless operation and user access control.
• Coordinate lifecycle equipment replacement, including the procurement, installation, and decommissioning of hardware.
• Forecast hardware and software requirements based on organizational needs and growth.
• Maintain IT equipment, ensuring all hardware is operational and well-maintained
.
Media Handling and Documentation: • Conduct CD/DVD handling procedures following organizational policies and security guidelines.
• Document all processes and procedures clearly and accurately to support future reference and audit requirements. Customer Support:
• Provide high-quality customer support, addressing and resolving IT-related issues promptly and effectively.
• Assist users with technical issues related to software applications and system access, ensuring minimal disruption to their work. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications include: • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance (DoD) • Candidates must have either a Bachelor's Degree or higher and 3+ years of applicable Information Assurance experience or a Highschool Diploma and 7+ years of applicable Information Assurance experience.
• IAM Level III Certification (ex. CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO)
• IAT Level III Certification (ex. CASP+ CE,CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate),GCED,GCIH,CCSP)
• Windows or Linux Computer Environment Cert.
