A Week in the life of aMid-Level Technical Specialist: Manage scientific, engineering, and technical analysis of prospective and ongoing prototypes and demonstrations of emerging, innovative technologies. Provide management support for broad program portfolios, proposals, analysis, and funding recommendations in coordination and collaboration across the Department of Defense and with other Government agencies, academia, and industry for situational awareness and information sharing. Job Requirements A bachelor's degree or higher in a recognized engineering, scientific, technical, management, or national security area. Active Top-Secret clearance (with SCI eligibility) 4+ years' experience with project management and analysis of prototypes. Ability to synthesize vast amounts of complex technical data into senior executive level information. Experience with Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) processes and procedures related to supported tasks, including preparing technical briefs, presentations, packages, and DoD/Congressional-level correspondence. Experience preparing presentations and other visualization forms to communicate results and artifacts to varied audiences. Experience in prototyping solutions, R&E modernization, and joint warfighting concepts. A minimum of four years of DoD experience in technology development and maturation, project management.
