Job description
Summary:
The Vice President works at the executive level of All Native Group to drive the organization's growth through strategic planning, business development, and market expansion. Develops programs to capture new business, grow existing business, and work collaboratively with other business groups and the business development group to increase profitable market share. This role is pivotal in identifying new opportunities, improving current business processes, and establishing long-term growth strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives. Serves as a member of the leadership team in setting strategic direction for the company. Aligns with the company culture keeping with HCI and Winnebago peoples' traditions and values.
This position maintains the highest level of integrity and ethics compliance, while supporting the culture and values of Ho-Chunk, Inc. through policies and processes. This position also maximizes opportunity and growth by using existing contract vehicles, as well as developing new customer relationships and new contract vehicles. Specific responsibilities of the position include the following:
Essential Functions
Lead development of strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the company's market share and revenue.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential risks
Formulate and oversee the execution of growth strategies in line with the company's goals
Directs and prioritizes the activities of the Business Development and Proposals teams for business, financial objectives and the corporate targets of growing profit and revenues.
Coordinates with Business Development and Proposals to ensure continuing revenue growth and profitability.
Fully accountable for the continued growth and profitability and works towards annual and quarterly performance metrics established by the ANG CEO. Responsible for determining performance metrics for profit and loss centers within the business group.
Responsible for making leadership aware early on of issues, problems, or cost impacts within the company regardless of the circumstances.
Exhibits the highest level of integrity and ethics compliance while supporting the culture and values of the organization through policies and processes. Holds staff accountable for integrity and ethics in all business matters.
Responsible for adhering to and managing the overall budget of the Business Development and Proposals.
Provides leadership, working in a collaborative fashion with other divisions of the company to accomplish strategic objectives and profitable organic growth.
Accountable for establishing and maintaining client relationships and establishing a regular program of client calls and internal marketing. Ensures the building and maintenance of relationships with strategic partners, subcontractors, minority and small business contractors, and key competitors.
Act as necessary to exploit current market and competitive conditions, technology growth, strategic focus and trend lines, and market influences, along with acute knowledge of senior client and contractor leadership.
Works with the contracts, finance, human resources, and legal staff to ensure compliance with corporate risk controls, employee relations, and the ethical conduct of business.
Promotes and ensures ethical business practices and client-oriented philosophy.
Responsible for establishing practices and procedures to ensure the highest level of professional standards in conducting business activities and for building long-lasting relationships with company employees, clients, and business partners.
Monitors the personal performance of direct reports and of their key subordinates and guides their professional development. Establishes mentorship programs as necessary to build business group leadership.
Responsible for promoting employee engagement-leading employees to be focused on clear goals, providing regular and constructive feedback, supporting the development of new skills, and recognizing employees for their achievement.
Responsible for the hiring, firing, promotion, and training of employees within the business group, and for ensuring compliance with the company's affirmative action program.
Ensures the organization follows all applicable laws and regulations and is ethical in all business matters.

This position oversees the day-to-day activities of the ANG Strategic Growth, Business Development and Proposal teams.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Frequently moves standard office equipment up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.
Travel
Travel will be required on an as needed basis to Fairfax, VA, Colorado Springs, CO, Bellevue, NE, and Winnebago, NE. Additionally, travel will be required to meet with customers as needed, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience working with or for the Federal Government, including a good understanding of federal acquisition regulations.
Minimum 5 years successful strategy and business development leadership experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
Thorough understanding of federal acquisition processes as both a prime contractor and subcontractor; understands the special benefits of the 8(a) Tribal entity in the Federal Contracting environment.
Through understanding of the Ho-Chunk Inc. family.
Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
Education
Master's in Business Administration or related field degree preferred.
PMP certification preferred, but not required.
Security Clearance
Secret clearance required for this position.
