Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide technical CM support and guidance to ensure the integrity and consistency of products. Maintain configuration management processes and technical document development procedures ensuring engineering requirements and practices align with system scope.
Provide database management support by preparing, maintaining, and tracking Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Request for Variances (RFVs), Specification Change Notices (SCNs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and various Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) changes from conception to implementation.
Perform Secretariat and liaison role for Working Group (EWG) and Engineering Review Team (ERT). Develop agendas, meeting minutes, action items, responses to data calls, and detailed technical review of comments for ECPs, ECRs, RFVs, and SCNs. Perform technical review of concepts and designs for technical accuracy and provide comments and recommendations to engineers. Provide support to engineers for comment adjudication and support at EWG and ERT meetings.
Track, prepare and distribute EWG Action Items. Support government personnel and lead engineer(s) with various tasks such as engineering reviews, data calls and audits.
Generate Monthly Project Technical Execution Metrics (PTEM) for Cabinets, Consoles and Peripherals.
Generate weekly metrics for Console Display Peripherals and Network Processing System to provide the status of open changes, closed changes, and action items. Maintain use of the Advanced Configuration Control Engineering Status System (ACCESS), web queries, OBIEE Ad Hoc reporting tool for configuration changes and drawing/document artifacts. Integrated engineers across multiple baselines with the engineering and configuration management process by providing subject matter expertise.
Provide engineering and CM support for Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs). Assist engineers in performing audits of First Article Unit (FAU) by maintaining the ACCESS database for quality reporting, writing, and revising PCA/FCA Plans and Agendas, maintaining schedules, capturing action items, capturing, and maintaining pictures of equipment, developing meeting notes and action items. Assist engineers in final report development by performing documentation review and performing final PCA/FCA Closeout to demonstrate quality evidence data.
Maintain official VIEWNet repository libraries/deliverables for drawings, TDPs, CIs, calendar and EWG Agendas and Minutes.
Maintain use of JIRA Software for engineering support tasking, configuration changes and drawing/document artifacts. Support the development and delivery of baselined Technical Data Packages (TDPs). Assist engineers in adhering to TDP configuration management process and procedures for delivery to computing infrastructure In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and program sponsors for use in virtualization of enterprise computing solutions.
Assist with maintaining media library and transmittal letters. Create and distribute media files to appropriate point of contact.
Develop, update, and maintain existing SOPs and best practices for tools and configuration management activities. Use of the Lockheed Martin (LM) SharePoint, SILC Database via Access LM and Virtual Integrated Engineering Warroom Network (VIEWNet).
Multitask a range of technical project objectives to meet goals, engineering design requirements and analysis of computing systems.
Communicate clearly throughout organizations both orally and in writing. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: • Preferred 3 years of experience in configuration and data management, data quality assurance and quality control, or inventory management. The CM Specialist shall have experience using Microsoft Office's product suite.
• A general understanding of AEGIS or any surface combatant would be a plus. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates, supervises, and/or manages support personnel. ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTO are required. May require occasional travel.
