NS2 Mission is seeking excellent Software Developercandidates to join our engineering team in Chantilly, VAworking on the next generation of a key software system in the Intelligence Community for defense of vital national assets. Our team has deep experience in this exciting mission space and is looking to grow on this newly awarded contract. The EMMETT program, a next gen Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system, establishes a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), finds RSOs of interest, and provides data to ground operators. The EMMETT team uses: programmatics, sensor modeling, and system engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system.
Candidates may participate in all aspects of lifecycle application development including technical exchange meetings, whitepapers, design, code, test, debug, configuration management, and production support for Java and JavaScript applications.As part of this teamyou will work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution. The team is looking for Junior, Mid, and Senior level Developers to join the team.
Experience required: Junior: 1-4 years of experience with the preferred/desired qualifications below
Mid: 5-10 years of experience with the preferred/desired qualifications below
Senior: 10+ years of experience with the preferred/desired qualifications belowPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical degree, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
Experience with front end technologies such as Vue.js, React, Angular, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, SCSS
Candidates must possess good communication skills and be able to work in a dynamic team environment developing solutions from both written and spoken requirements.
Experience writing Java applications to include RESTful web services, web apps such as nginx, Tomcat, or JBoss, databases, messaging systems such as ActiveMQ or Kafka, data tagging, data encryptionDesired Qualifications: Security+ certification
Understanding of geospatial concepts
Strong background in math, science, and/or aerospace
Knowledge of Agile development process
Experience with system monitor technologies such as Munin, Nagios, Elastic Stack (ELK -Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats
Experience with Jira
Experience with continuous integration technologies such as Jenkins or Bamboo
Experience with Java development tools such as VS Code, Eclipse IDE, and Maven
Familiarity with Git
Knowledge of relational database fundamentalsPosition Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to take CI Poly
