Job Summary:
Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead our PMO Client Delivery team in planning, executing, and completing projects successfully on a primarily remote basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing multiple projects, building and maintaining client relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and profitability. This role involves coordinating with different departments to allocate resources effectively, managing project timelines, and facilitating meetings with both internal and external stakeholders. The Project Manager will also be responsible for monitoring the financial health of projects, maintaining accurate documentation, and engaging with stakeholders to uphold quality standards and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities of the Program Manager:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and oversee project plans, outlining objectives, tasks, timelines, and resource needs. Work with multiple teams to establish feasible schedules.
Communication and Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication among team members and stakeholders. Serve as the primary contact for project-related queries.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes and status reports. Prepare and distribute regular project updates.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify and document potential project risks and issues. Collaborate with the team to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback. Provide timely updates on project progress and any emerging issues.
Quality Control: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards. Coordinate reviews, quality assurance processes, and conduct preliminary testing prior to customer UAT.
Training and Support: Develop training materials and deliver customer training on assessment platforms.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation. Support the achievement of project goals within scope, schedule, and budget.
Business Development: Assist with bid and proposal activities to support business development efforts.
Financial Management: Assist with budget adherence and profit targets. Collaborate with leadership and accounting to create and monitor budgets. Manage the P&L of clients, client delivery, and costs, ensuring a clear understanding of contract terms and margins.
Help Desk Collaboration: Work closely with the Help Desk team to resolve customer issues efficiently.
Interface Management: Interface with internal teams, customer organizations, and contractors to ensure delivery of quality services.
System Documentation: Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including requirements, design, risk management, and issue resolutions. Handle any necessary modifications to contracts and documentation.
Qualifications of the Program Manager:
10+ years of experience as a Project Manager
BS in Business, Information Systems, or related field
Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively with executive-level clients and stakeholders.
Experience in managing government and commercial contract delivery, including firm-fixed price, Time and Material, and Cost Plus contracts.
PMP certification is highly desirable.
Experience with products and services related to HR Hiring processes and Talent Management is a plus (e.g., automated assessment platforms, products, and related services).
Ideally a combination of experience in both federal and commercial spaces, including work with large commercial companies.
