Our National Security Team supports the Intelligence Community by providing, operating and assuring critical voice, video and collaboration services for the full spectrum of operations. AT&T has an opening for a Network Engineering Manager (CAN/LAN and C&T Engineering Lead) to support a key program in AT&T's National Security business segment. The Network Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Engineers in the completion of engineering projects. Their duties include hiring and training qualified engineering staff, rating and mentoring engineering staff, setting project budgets and timelines for completion and helping their staff troubleshoot issues. The Network Engineering Manager will need expert knowledge of network engineering for large scale enterprise network solution implementation and ongoing architectural network operations transition, test and evaluation activities. The candidate will also lead and support technical maintenance involving network devices routers, switches, and security solutions. This position will work closely with program and customer leadership to ensure the program requirements are met or exceeded within existing timeframes and budget. Foster collaboration of ideas related to emerging technology, program technical strategy, and continuously evolving network architecture and maintenance approach that increases availability, resiliency, security, and ease of maintenance through simplification and automation using best in class technology, tools, and processes. The job duties of the Network Engineering Manager are as follows: Manage and direct large CAN/LAN and C&T Engineering teams geographically dispersed focused on network solution implementation within Service Level Objectives, ongoing architectural network operations transition, test and evaluation activities and network operations support.
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports through performance evaluations, one-on-one coaching, and training.
Ensure that CAN/LAN and C&T Engineering staffing levels can meet workload demands by hiring, recruiting, onboarding, training, and retaining personnel.
Drive CAN/LAN and C&T Engineering team members to improve delivery of service through Continuous Service Improvements.
Ensure all engineering and operating systems work together, from managing business and management aspects to making sure each part is engineered correctly to meet functional and technical requirements taking into consideration customer requirements.
Identify and coordinate with both customer, partner, and program stakeholders to communicate and resolve problems within specific projects and service offerings (people, process and/or technology) as they are identified.
Support and lead cross-functional team/s to drive shared accountability, and mutual commitment to program delivery and objectives for Network Connectivity Service requests, program projects and network operation events.
Serve as a customer contact for program information, manage key relationships and host customer reviews as necessary for site and enterprise projects.
Establish and manage standards for performance and measuring progress towards goals for the team and direct report personnel.
Ensure that timely and accurate milestone reviews and routine reports are conducted on assigned projects. Use these tools to expose risks and issues and develop action plans to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Understand and implement service area long-term strategy as it applies to the program alongside of the program defined network service area Service Business Leads and program leadership.
Identify and manage project interdependencies across the program for any potential risks and plan for mitigation strategies.
Performs quality assurance and quality control during the periodic update process to ensure project schedules and associated reports accurately reflect the status of projects.
Keeps track of high-level project milestones and schedules for service areas across the program to ensure schedules are being collaborated both internally and with external partners including tracking all the key dependencies. Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. (/sci) () Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 8 years, master's and 10 years, bachelor's and 12 years, associates and 14 years or HS diploma and 16 years. Additional required qualifications include: Compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2. Experience managing large Network Engineering teams geographically dispersed (50+ personnel).
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills and ability to manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
Qualified candidates will have a background in IT, network engineering, systems engineering and analysis.
Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail, multitasking and critical thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Service Now or similar ITSM, and Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience Engineering and implementing Cisco Switches and Routers, Firewalls and similar network platforms.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Desired Qualifications: Expertise within a defined network service area. Such expertise would include network engineering, network security or network monitoring.
