Visit for more details. Responsibilities General Position Description: A recognized authority within the company, solving complex technical problems with innovative solutions. This role involves overseeing the entire system lifecycle, from concept to implementation and validation, ensuring alignment with customer needs and standards. Key Responsibilities: Address unusually complex technical problems with highly innovative solutions.
Determine and pursue necessary actions to achieve desired outcomes.
Design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and products throughout the lifecycle.
Generate and translate system requirements from customer descriptions, planning, and logistics.
Ensure compliance with client and government standards through formal verification methods.
Collaborate with engineering disciplines to develop detailed implementation requirements.
Establish and coordinate standards, practices, and procedures for product development.
Design interfaces and integrate system elements into a cohesive whole.
Assess system performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Liaise with customers to support business development and shape system requirements.
Participate in system conceptual design and document design concepts.
Conduct design reviews to ensure system applicability and requirement traceability.
Create system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
Review test plans and participate in testing processes to validate requirements.
Program Description: With a fresh, new 7-year contract, this program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an important Intelligence Community (IC) customer with a focus on critical, assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure. The contract support is part of the customer core team focused on all aspects of the systems engineering life cycle beginning with conops development, where we work directly with users, potentially going into harm's way, who will be dependent on these communications systems. We then capture their requirements and work closely with developers to deliver these essential capabilities. We get involved with setting up and running tests to ensure these cutting-edge capabilities will meet the stringent requirements and then we support transition to operations. Once in operations, our teams work closely with the users to make sure critical operations are successful, providing important information to support critical decisions by policy makers. The program also supports client acquisition strategy, future technology development and modernization efforts. Specific Position Description: This position will have two focus areas, Systems Engineering and Mission Assurance. The Systems Engineering aspect will support the client's acquisition of new special communications capabilities to enhance the mission. SETA teams work through the systems engineering life cycle, to acquire these capabilities through contracts with development contractors. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support government program managers as they manage the development, operations & maintenance of critical mission systems
Manage and document system requirements by working with users to understand needs and development contractors to deliver capabilities to meet those needs.
Support the successful transition of new capabilities into operations.
The second focus of this position is to establish and maintain a Parts (HW/SW), Materials & Processes (PMP) / Mission Assurance strategy. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the government PMP/MA lead to develop a strategy facilitate mission assurance activities across the enterprise
Facilitate IV&V activities, independent technical assessments, anomaly and failure trend assessments, and documented lessons learned.
Provide support to update industry-based mission assurance via quarterly updates to suppliers lists, program Critical Technologies Lists (CTL), and related supply chain management processes and procedures.
Provide expert advice to engage with the larger client agency enterprise MA concerns and performance assessments on programs that are likely to their mission systems
Support the development, application and monitoring of the NRO MA Standards for analysis and prevention of issues that have caused failures, launch delays, reduced mission life or performance or resulted in significant rework
Perform an/or review contractors' reliability & maintainability analysis (RMA)
Evaluate waivers and deviations to PMPDA requirements for deliverable hardware and software as they are submitted for program approval
Qualifications Required Qualifications Must posses and be able to maintain a TS/SCI clearance with poly.
8+ years in overhead communications programs (mission and architectures), with experience in most of the above key duties and responsibilities.
BS in a technical field (engineering, mathematics, physics).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of systems engineering documentation to include concepts of operations, interface control documents, and verification and test.
Previous experience with mission assurance programs.
Desired Qualifications MS in a technical field (engineering, mathematics, physic).
Experience with modern systems engineering tools for requirements management, including DOORs.
Experience using workflow and document management tools like Jira/Confluence/Sharepoint, etc.
Experience with RF based satellite communications.
