HOW A LINUX SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
Contributes to completion of major engineering programs and projects
Develops solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems
Oversees highly complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
Performs continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux; experience with NFS, AD/LDAP integration, Web Servers, certificates, LVM, VMware, Linux security hardening, Red Hat Satellite Server, Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud deployments, configuring storage over Fiber Channel
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Required Skills and Abilities: Works independently under limited supervision, possess current DoD IAT II Level certification
Preferred Skills: Experience with BASH Scripting, kickstart deployments, Big Data solutions, Nutanix, Splunk, AWS/Azure, and/or HPE storage solutions
Location: On Customer Site

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
