Job description

Organization is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Mid-to-Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team in supporting a Government customer. The team is building a large-scale enterprise application using web technologies, distributed computation and storage frameworks, and sophisticated, cutting-edge domain analytics, with the system hosted on virtualized and cloud-computing platforms. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently with little supervision as well as engage with a team to achieve overall project objectives. Essential Functions: • Participate in a development team that uses agile methodologies combined with mature software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure. • Execute full lifecycle agile workflow including daily SCRUMs, story grooming and bidding, and sprint execution. • Develop software and extend the software baseline to implement new capabilities and mature existing capabilities using key enabling technologies and frameworks. • Maintain the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed. • Provide technical and methodological guidance to the team, helping to steer the team to be self-reliant and highly effective at meeting project objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Backend: Database: Experience with PostgreSQL or any SQL (Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS . Web App Server: Familiarity with open-source web application servers such as Apache HTTP, Tomcat. Middle Tier - Messaging Systems: Experience with Kafka or any Java-based message broker, Active MQ or similar, and development and usage with RESTful web services. • Frontend: Experience with development using Angular 3+ front-end web application platform or similar web framework. Qualifications: • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline and 12 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 10 years of experience. • 6+ years of experience with Java development with some experience in Relational Database Management. • 6+ years of experience with Angular 3+ front-end web application platform and PrimeNG UI components or similar web framework. • Experience with middle tier messaging systems, Kafka, Active MQ or similar, and development and usage with RESTful web services. • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Current CI Poly or consent to Poly at a briefing.
Preferred Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience working on a program following SAFe Methodology. Compensation:
