The expected salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $78,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).

Responsibilities:
Kearney & Company is seeking an IT Audit Associate to support the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA. The IT Audit Associate will:

Assist in external and internal financial audits/assessments by performing tests around financial system controls compliance.

Work on various engagements including financial statement audits, A-123 internal controls audit readiness, develop IT sampling plans, draft written audit findings, and FISMA security work.

Performing audit procedures to determine the design and operating effectiveness of the controls.

Performing risk assessments.

Determine compliance is with policies and selected law/regulations are met.

Review and evaluate internal controls and supporting documentation.

Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn.

Demonstrate professionalism and competence in the client's environment

Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment

Execute the day-to-day accounting and audit activities of the engagement and conducting fieldwork daily

Gather audit related data

Demonstrate awareness and knowledge of Federal Government's financial and management responsibilities

Assist in drafting and preparing project deliverables

Utilize technology to share knowledge with team members, develop skills, and continually learn

Qualifications:
BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in Information Systems (or other IT, business or accounting related major)

Minimum active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph for the IC (Intelligence Community)

Ability to and willing to work on-site in Chantilly, VA

Ability to travel up to 25%, barring any travel restrictions associated with the current COVID-19 environment

Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and results-oriented

Ability to demonstrate an understanding of accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Accounting and auditing experience

Experience working on financial statement audits

Experience working with Federal Government and/or DoD clients

150 credit hours that are required to be CPA eligible

While the preferred qualifications are a plus, they are not required because of Kearney's robust training programs
