Title: Cybersecurity Lead Location: Hybrid in Fairfax, VA (3 days per week onsite) About the Role:
We are the lookout for a dynamic and enthusiastic Security Engineering and Compliance Manager to join our mission-driven team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and have a passion for cybersecurity and desire to be both in leadership and still get hands-on, this role is for you! What You'll Do: Lead and manage the security architecture, implementation, deployment, and operations of the Cyber Data Services solution.
Provide technical expertise and leadership including analysis of vulnerabilities
Collaborate within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to enhance our cybersecurity practices and systems
Architecture, engineering, and security testing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to include but not limited to creating CI/CD pipelines for solutions delivery, container orchestration (ex: AWS EKS), and automating the creation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) infrastructures
Supporting system Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and creating artifacts, control implementation details, & Risk Management Framework (RMF) Project Details: Join us in building a nextgeneration Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation cyber data solution for the Department of Homeland Security. This work will be a key piece in enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the nation's cybersecurity & infrastructure. Our work leads efforts to strengthens the cybersecurity of critical federal networks through better awareness and visibility into security threats What We're Looking For: Leadership & Expertise: 3+ years in a team lead or higher role with experience leading teams of 10+ security engineers and analysts
Technical Skills: 7+ years of experience in security engineering & DevOps with proficiency in AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, ELK Stack
Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of DevSecOps including information security principles, system architectures, and network protocols.
Compliance Experience: Familiarity with ATO processes, RMF, and POAMs. Desired Skills: Experience with IT Service Management tools (e.g., Atlassian Jira).
Familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk and Tenable Security Tools.
Prior federal agency experience
