Who You Are Manages and leads Health Safety and Environment initiatives and personnel. Coordinates the delivery of HSE products and services to operations and shared services personnel, in support of business acquisition and execution. Interfaces and negotiates with regulatory bodies, clients and subcontractors. Responsible for executing the processes that directly impact training, report writing, quality control, plan development and implementation. Incorporates health standards directed by regulatory agencies to prevent hazards and diseases from work sites. Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of a related discipline or sub-group within a function. Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members. This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. T his position is expected to be onsite 100%. This is a contingent position based on contract award What You'll Do As a ESH (HSE) Manager, you will: Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
Conduct training sessions for health, safety, and environmental practices.
Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
Other duties as required Qualifications: 5+ years proven experience as safety manager.
Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
At least one nationally recognized certification: CSP, CIH, CEP, or PE. Preferred Qualifications: 9+ years proven experience as safety manager. Clearance: Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
