Description & Requirements Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Deputy Deployment Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Project management of assigned technical support and deployment projects as assigned by the client and contract PMO. Provide guidance to the Deployment manager, provide weekly and monthly performance reports, as well as daily reporting to the customer on all critical issues and their resolutions. Analyze and develop new hardware requirements and prepare specifications for hardware. Direct and lead preparation of deployment plans and site installation project plans Develop hardware installation schedules. Mobilize installation team. Hands on experience and provide guidance to highly technical systems engineers. Assist deployment planning from ground-up in new sites, support decommissioning of a site, and assist in moves, support computer systems and peripherals. Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for deployment related inventory, hardware orders. Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, install hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment that connect to network. Organize and direct hardware installations and support site surveys. Conduct Training sessions to ensure all team members are up to date on supported technology and provide Tier III network technical issue resolution, that also include infrastructure related problems. Supervise direct reports for corporate timecards, trainings, and supervisory tasks. Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, workstation deployment and project management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making. Experience in Customer Service. Preferred Qualifications: Working in Department of State, specifically Consular Affairs and Passport PMP certification ITIL certification Experience with MS Project Experience with ServiceNow ticketing platform. Bachelor's Degree in IT Technology Security Clearance Requirements: US Citizenship Must have an active DoD secret security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time. Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer. Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customers. Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc. Must be able to deliver presentations as needed. Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc. The majority of work will be performed within a professional office environment. However, deployments can require the individual to lift and move computer and other equipment up to 50 lbs.in weight, as well as being able to push a wheeled dolly with multiple computer systems loaded. Position may require bending, kneeling, or crawling to get to cables under/behind furniture and server racks. Must be able to fly on international flights up to 18 hours.
