Responsibilities Program Description: The program provides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) core and non-core support in the areas of Cyber Security and Management to improve the Information Assurance (IA) posture of a national customer. The contracts Core Capabilities are: IA Management, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) coordination and reporting, Risk Management Framework (RMF) application, IA compliance measurements and metrics, Assessment and Authorization (A&A), Vulnerability Management, and Cyber Defense support. Position Description: The Cyber Systems Engineer provides support to the customer in the area of Cyber Security. Daily Tasks include, but are not limited to: Provide support to a Front Office element supporting a Director and Deputy Director and collaborating with other FO personnel and government and contractor leads of 5 branches
Help manage and facilitate the customer's weekly Cyber Risk Council
Provide assessments to the customer on the cybersecurity state of IT assets.
Develop briefings and artifacts for Front Office Leadership
Provide technical recaps of customer meetings
Work closely with the customer Lead and stakeholders to manage the Group's portfolio
Inform government leads on status and progress of all projects
Work with government and contractor leads to address various systems engineering, system integration, and project management issues across projects
Advise in the production and tailoring of government financial execution reports and program acquisition documentation and ensure affordable, supportable and effective program requirements are specified to meet mission needs.
Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials
Analyzes policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations and provides recommendations for closing gaps
Develops strategies to comply with privacy and risk management requirements
Qualifications Required: 10 to 12 years with BS or 8 to 10 years with MS or 6 to 8 years with PhD.
Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
Able to support customer's core hours (; Mon - Fri)
DoD 8570 certification in IAT or IAM
Excellent communications skills - Verbal and Non-Verbal
Ability to develop and deliver briefings and other technical artifacts appropriately tailored for the intended audience
Experience supporting project management
Experience with customer's Cybersecurity Processes and tools/capabilities
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Hands-on working knowledge of Excel and other database applications
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to support Division Level GPOCs
Desired: Self-starter requiring limited direction and supervision
Bachelors of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or an advanced IA certification (i.e. CISSP or CASP)
Experience briefing senior customer personnel
Ability to organize and prioritize numerous customer requests in a fast pace deadline driven environment
Familiarity with the RMF process
Experience supporting IC or DoD in the Cyber Security Domain
Working knowledge of Microsoft tools; Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
