Position Overview: Edgesource is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Help Desk Analyst to support our 24x7 operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with expertise in cloud computing and help desk operations. The role involves managing the company's systems and networks, ensuring maximum uptime, and providing excellent technical support to our internal and external customers. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, responding promptly to critical issues and maintaining high-quality standards. This role can support a hybrid work schedule, with duties being performed 3-4 days per week onsite in the Chantilly, VA area. Job Duties: Manage and maintain the customer's systems and cloud-based solution, ensuring maximum uptime and performance. Provide technical support to internal and external customers, including troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. Monitor system performance and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they become critical. Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and policies. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Work closely with the IT team to plan and implement new technologies and solutions. Ensure that all help desk requests are addressed promptly, accurately, and professionally. Maintain and troubleshoot cloud-based systems, including AWS, Azure, OpenStack, and optimize performance and cost-effectiveness. Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery procedures. Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support during non-business hours. Conduct training for internal and external customers on system and network administration, cloud computing, and other relevant IT topics. Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI security clearance 3+ years of experience as a system administrator, with a strong focus on cloud-based solutions and help desk operations Excellent technical skills in Windows and Linux operating systems, networking, and cloud computing Experience with AWS, Azure or OpenStack cloud environments Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V Experience with monitoring technologies, such as Grafana or Prometheus Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Must be available to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation Desired Qualifications ( NOT REQUIRED ): Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Relevant technical certifications Working at Edgesource: As an ISO 9001:2015 certified and CMMI Level 3 appraised small business, Edgesource specializes in providing a variety of technical solutions to include software development, database services, enterprise networking, data center virtualization, and management support.
