Job Description Foundation Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) NOX Automation Analyst Position Requirement: MUST BE A US CITIZEN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE REQUIRED MUST HAVE 3-4 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH PERFORMING THIS ROLE AT THE NATIONAL GEOSPATIAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY REQUIRED Locations: VA and St. Louis MO areas
Job Type: Full-Time Employee Job Summary:
The Foundation GEOINT NOX Automation Analyst is responsible for developing,
implementing, and maintaining NOX automation solutions within the GEOINT
framework. This role focuses on optimizing geospatial data processing
workflows, enhancing data accuracy, and improving the efficiency of GEOINT
operations. The ideal candidate will have an indepth understanding of the NOX
process at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), a strong
background in geospatial analysis, automation technologies, and a keen eye for
detail. Key Responsibilities: Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline geospatial data processing workflows, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Data Analysis and Integration: Perform detailed geospatial data analysis, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integration with existing systems. , Tool and Script Creation: Create and maintain scripts, tools, and applications to support GEOINT operations, utilizing programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL. System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain automated systems to ensure continuous operation and address any issues that arise promptly. Collaboration: Work closely with geospatial analysts, data scientists, and IT teams to understand requirements, gather feedback, and implement improvements. Documentation: Develop comprehensive documentation for automation processes, including user manuals, technical specifications, and operational procedures. Training and Support: Provide training and support to GEOINT staff on the use of automated tools and systems.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in geospatial intelligence, with a focus on automation and data processing. Technical Skills: o Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and SQL. o Experience with geospatial software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, GDAL). o Knowledge of automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible). o Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and GIS web services. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex geospatial data. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., GISP, ESRI Certification) are a plus.
