Job description

Overview:
The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive upholstery maintenance and repairs across the property. The incumbent in this position reports to the Director of Facilities, and will also respond to general maintenance service calls as needed. The starting rate for this position is $21 hourly.

Responsibilities:
Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.

Responsible for overall maintenance, upkeep and repairs of facility, with a particular focus on commercial upholstery.

Maintains cleanliness of all engineering spaces.

Conducts required drills and inspections.

Responds to maintenance service calls in a timely manner.

Creates service request for purposes of documenting work performed. Completes all work orders assigned in a timely manner.

Documents all work on a daily basis.

Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.

Performs all other duties as assigned and adheres to all Virginia Lottery Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications:
This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of job experience working with upholstery and general facilities maintenance.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):

Must have at least 3 years of professional experience working with commercial upholstery.

Must successfully pass background check.

Must successfully pass drug screening.

Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.

Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.

Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.

Must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal/State law and the Virginia Lottery.

ABILITY TO:

Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.

Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.

Operate trucks and light motorized equipment.

Follow oral and written directions.

Must have exceptional guest service skills.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
