Scrum Master/ Business Systems Analyst Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local The Opportunity: CACI ' s Agile Solution Factory (ASF) is hiring an experienced Agile Scrum Master with strong Business Analyst experience. The candidate will have Agile Scrum/Kanban delivery experience and project management experience to support a key program based in Ashburn, VA. The candidate will apply CACI agile methodologies to meet obligations. The candidate will be the primary POC for government stakeholders and will use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with the government stakeholders. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance. The candidate will meet regularly with customer stakeholders to identify and agree upon business requirements and timelines for assigned projects, clearly communicate those business needs to Scrum Development Team, work collaboratively with customer stakeholders and Development Team to decompose high-level business requirements into user stories / Backlogs (functional requirements) - all of which help facilitate the delivery of deployable software in 2-week increments (sprints). The individual must be able to work independently with little supervision and solve complex problems. Responsibilities: Serves as the authorized project interface with project stakeholders including government personnel and customer agency representatives. Responsible for facilitating delivery of customer-defined software development projects; basic responsibilities include: Scrum Master Responsibilities: Acting as Scrum Master for a scrum team with a focus on guiding the team toward improving the way they work by facilitating scrums, sprint planning, retrospective and demos.
Removing all obstacles/impediments to further team efficiency and effectiveness by reaching out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal, and ensuring cross-team coordination
Maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are performing and facilitating team implementation of improvement opportunities identified through metrics analysis.
Ensures that product scrum teams function consistent with CACI ASF (Agile Solution Factory) methodologies.
Fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines
Supporting development and maintenance of product roadmaps
Actively participating in the organization Agile Community of Practice (CoP)
Work with program/portfolio leadership to ensure appropriate staffing for assigned projects or tasks and developing personnel.
Providing appropriate oversight to engineers, analysts, and support personnel
Scheduling and allocating work, providing advice and guidance, and removing impediments.
Working with the program ASF Center of Excellence (CoE) to develop new and refine existing processes to enhance quality and productivity.
Reviewing and evaluating work of staff and preparing periodic performance reports
Facilitate the demonstrations to stakeholder and report on the results of each software delivery iteration.
Lead the software development initiatives working with multiple teams, identify/resolve dependencies and monitor the schedule for the completion on time.
Support the scrum team in achieving daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives.
Provide mentoring and training on agile processes, methods, and practices.
Coaching, leading, facilitating ceremonies, and holding team and yourself accountable.
Facilitate positive team dynamics to help maximize team performance. Business Analyst Responsibilities: Acting as proxy Product Owner and assists the customer product owner with managing the product backlog.
Meet with government stakeholders in multiple organizations to develop complete functional requirements and business rules.
Support developing and maintaining product roadmaps.
Liaising between developers and project stakeholders
Actively participating in the organization Agile Community of Practice (CoP)
Analyzing new and complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving prioritizing/ordering of requirements, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components
Working with the program ASF CoE to developing new and refine existing processes to enhance quality and productivity.
Ensuring product quality and timeliness of efforts
Possess both an understanding of real-world mission/business objectives and a working knowledge of software development practices and technologies.
Serve as the focal point for the capture, analysis, and management of functional and non-functional systems requirements.
Show a demonstrated skill in effective decomposition of mission/business objectives into requirements contained within a product backlog which can then be implemented in a series of short and iterative development cycles.
Meet regularly with stakeholders to identify business needs.
Clearly communicate business needs to the development team through user stories and acceptance criteria
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, Product Architect as well as the product development team during the development cycle to ensure the customer needs are being met.
Review and evaluate work done by development team to ensure proper scope has been met. Qualifications: Required: College degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related discipline. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, with a DoD Secret clearance (interim will be considered)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Software development team background, with a minimum of five (5) solid years' experience facilitating incremental software development projects using an Agile Scrum approach.
Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, demonstrations, CM, quality assurance, and release management
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic, and is a self-starter.
Experience developing business processes, capability needs, and business requirements.
Experience translating business requirements into user stories, use cases and technical requirements.
Experience with functional decomposition of large business needs into multiple layers of requirements/user stories.
Experience conducting interviews with stakeholders to gather pertinent information.
Experience working on complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.
Acts independently to expose and resolve problems.
Experience in estimating techniques.
The ability to be adaptable and to constructively lead a technically diverse team.
Strong skills with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint Desired: Prior experience supporting test automation techniques and tools. Experience with building in software security. Experience with continuous deployment models. Experience analyzing data and data relationships across an organization ' s business areas. Software development background, nice to have but not required. PMI-ACP PMI-PMP Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner Certified Business Analysis Professional Certified Product Owner Knowledge and experience with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) Experience with managing agile projects using an agile user story management tool - project uses digital.ai Agility.
