Vistra Communications is seeking a Website Coordinator to provide technical assistance, website coordination and data management, and SharePoint management and administration to effectively support the office of the Commandant of the Marine Corp (CMC) Safety Division (SD) staff to achieve its objectives. The objectives of this requirement are: Address CMC-SD safety promotion, which will include long and short-term solutions to create a culture of safety within the Marine Corps. Develop MCSMS (Marine Corps Safety Management System) promotion and marketing strategies.
Produce promotional and informational materials via printed and electronic mediums. CMC SD publications are distributed electronically throughout the Marine Corps via SharePoint, email, the MarineNet Community site, CMC-SD, and NAVSAFECOM websites, etc. CMC-SD works to enhance the Marine Corps' warfighting capability through integrated "force preservation" measures to manage risk and prevent mishaps. This position will support the CMC-SD efforts and objectives promoting a safety management system communications plan. Tasks/Duties include:
Provide technical assistance and support for meetings, conferences, and safety-oriented activities including preparing briefings and handouts, developing and compiling presentation input and information packages. Provide website coordination and data management of web-based portals and tools to support the safety mission. Manage content and maintain time-sensitive information on SharePoint related to events and activities. Data management requirements include SharePoint Site Administration, access for CMC-SD personnel, providing input to the Enterprise IT (Information Technology) Services (EIS) framework, adding/deleting users, managing user privileges, and serving as a resource to the EIS development team. Extract data as needed to develop charts, graphs, and other promotional materials. Data management requirements include ASAP/MCSAP Site Administration, access for personnel, adding/deleting users, and managing user privileges. Maintain current web content associated with CMC-SD efforts to ensure the content and currency of the website, execute monthly reviews/updates, and identify and assess potential expansions of capabilities and functionality as programs and requirements change. Align the website with the organization's brand, strategy, and standards.
Audit content and remove duplicate information.
Assist with social media campaigns and other marketing efforts.
Complete tests to ensure website efficiency and quality.
Create strategies to improve website traffic.
Develop website content to support organizational goals and strategies.
Identify ways to improve website user experience.
Plan, create, implement, manage, monitor, and update websites for organizations.
Interface with the client.
Perform other tasks as requested. Requirements Bachelor's degree or certification and experience in relevant field required.
At least three years of experience in website coordination and data management.
Experience with and knowledge of the Marine Corps preferred.
Working knowledge of Armed Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS) and Adobe Creative Cloud applications strongly preferred.
Computer literacy (including HTML and CSS, programming languages, and common office software), attention to detail, and creativity.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Experience with DOD (Department of Defense) SharePoint administration.
Experience manipulating content and messaging across multiple mediums.
Experience in creating and maintaining web material; renewing web content ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information; ensuring site functionality, navigability, usability, and accessibility; and working closely with other IT staff to ensure Safety Division web content is in accordance with Marine Corps guidelines.
Must have a Secret Clearance.
