Senior DevSecOps Engineer Position Description
Job Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer Location: Arlington, VA Job Type: Full-time Job Description: As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating security practices into
our DevOps processes and ensuring the protection of our systems throughout the entire
development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement,
and manage robust security measures, ensuring the highest level of security for our applications
and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, implementation, and management of security measures across the development and operational environments. • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. • Implement and maintain automated security testing, monitoring, and alerting tools. • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis. • Collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipelines. • Mentor and guide junior DevSecOps engineers and other team members. • Stay up to date with the latest security threats, technologies, and industry trends. • Respond to and manage security incidents, investigations, and forensic activities. • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR). Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Security, or related roles. • Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, practices, and tools. • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell). • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). , • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Experience with automated security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA). • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure. • Strong communication and leadership skills. • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, AWS Certified Security) are a plus.
