Where you'll work:
You will work onsite in Crystal City, VA initially and then transition to onsite in Manassas, VA within the first year.

Team Epsilon has been chosen to deliver full-spectrum IT and Cyber Security support to a critical and enduring multinational organization within the United States Department of Defense. This DoD organization manages the resourcing, development and sustainment of one of our nation's most coveted and capable platforms. An average day:
As Network Administrator III, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the network infrastructures within domestic and international environments and data centers. This role supports a large enterprise effort on a federal contract, focusing on the reliability, security, and performance of network systems. The Network Administrator III will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing advanced technical expertise and guidance to junior administrators while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and best practices. Additionally, in this position you will:
Manage and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement troubleshooting measures to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
Collaborate with IT teams to design and integrate new network solutions that align with business objectives.
Implement and enforce network security protocols to safeguard sensitive data and comply with federal regulations.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and standards.
Provide mentorship and support to junior network administrators to enhance team capabilities.
Participate in network capacity planning, expansion projects, and technology upgrades.
Coordinate with vendors for network equipment procurement and support services.
Ensure compliance with SLAs and provide regular reports on network performance and incident resolutions.
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Basic Qualifications:
As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
Advanced knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including CCNA or CCNP certification.
Proficient in routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and advanced network architecture design.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
Strong understanding of network security measures and experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
Familiarity with VPN solutions and secure remote access technologies.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) related to network infrastructure.
Understanding of cloud networking concepts and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required for federal contracts.
Other Requirements:
Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
Will be subject to a federal background investigation.
